Is this a good multimeter to buy? I need one, I might as well buy one since noone else has one here in this house .

Cheap or good. One or the other. I use Flukes at work, but I have a similar one in my car. Unless you plan on doing a lot of electrical work, cheap is the way to go. Anything under $20 is good enough for an auto enthusiast / DIYer. Voltage (up to 20VDC) and resistance (nothin above K/M Ohms), is good enough. I've had mine for 5 years and have used it 3 or 4x. Just handy, when you need it.

Yeah that will work. Although I got the $30 Craftsman one. I like cheap as much as the next guy, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy the $10 ones. . haha.

I will be using this on my car every once in a while and maybe around the house. This is not going to be for an electrician lol. Sorry haha I just thought that was hilarious, if I was going to need a great one I wouldn't seriously consider a $10 one xD
I just wanted to know that something like this wouldn't fall apart after being in the truck for a week.

That's why I went with the Craftsman one. It had a nice little rubberized case on it to help protect it and the leads were designed a bit better so that if it fell or you set something on it on by accident they wouldn't instantly be destroyed.
