I never said to buy overpriced speaker wire. I said to make sure it's well insulated. Wire is wire, just make sure of the quality before you buy it, no matter the price. See, you're inferring things that I didn't say. I never said to go out and buy the most expensive wire, because yes, it is a marketing ploy. I just said to make sure it's quality made. Big difference.
Bires, technically thats not the best speaker wire for all applications.
I run 250 watts to each of my front doors, I use 12 guage twisted oxygen free copper wire. I never get any interference from my windows or power lock motors, and my wire runs through the grommet that my main harness goes through.
Another thing to consider is strand count, as different wires for different applications have different counts. The higher the strand count the more flexible and the more efficient the wire will be. Power travels along the outer surfaces of the wires.
Also, your lamp cord isnt marked for + and - which can make running 20 feet of wire from the trunk into your doors and then wiring it REAL fun.

Hmm well I went out and bought some regular copper wire from autozone. Is that good or will I not even notice a difference. How can you tell what the speaker polarity is because it's not on the speaker.
Running the wiring thru the door is hard. Took me couple of hours. It took me so long because it was my first time
And second reason was I didnt want to cut any of the wiring that come to the door(power windows and etc). Now i think about it couple months down the road, it was well worth.

All good points. I aggree with you. If you run 250W max to your doors, a good twisted line would be best. My point earlier was that most ppl don't, and most commercial speaker wire is not neccessary/better than cheaper, more creative solutions.
