I bought a 2001 civic lx and i noticed that the check engine light will not turn on when i twist the key to turn on the car. I have the fuses but they're all good and idk what the problem could be help please...

See what fault codes are in it....I'd expect something expen$ive like a catalytic converter or a transmission.

I would immediately assume someone disabled the check engine light so you would buy the car, not knowing right away it has problems. One would need to take some time to take it apart, diagnose and prove it though.



You might read this thread too, this guy just bought a Hybrid and the sellers cut out the check engine light and IMA warning lights

So how would I be able to diagnosed the problems? And all of the other lights work except the check engine light. Would i just have to get a new cluster?

get the codes read and see what they are (if any)

you dont need a new cluster, you just need to repair the problem with the light

Read the codes and replace the bulb

No idea why "check the bulb" wasn't the first piece of advice. It's a small incandescent bulb with a twist base. Pull the cluster and check the bulbs. It should be pretty straightforward to tell if the bulb is burnt out or not.
