Front speaker fitment

I have some Kenwood 6.5's and do not fit in the doors. The magnets do, just not the other parts.

I know about the baffle thing, but could i just cut the door to allow the lip of the speaker to rest on the door and then screw them in?

If i cannot do that, how exactly do you make a baffle, please explain in detail.

Thanks!

Check out www.k-series.com, in there, there is a tutorial about how to add new 6 1/2 after market speakers into the stock speakers.
