Alarm Question...
I just finished install my CodeAlarm... Works great no concern there... But, the alarm has a feature to put my windows up and down - as well as my sun roof - has anyone done this already? I couldnt find a diagram of where to run the wires to and before I go test the wires I figured I would post on here to try to save the trouble.
Did it come with the modules? Or is it just an additional option you can have, but need to buy additional parts? This seems to make more sense, because I think the diagrams come with the window modules.

Its all built into the alarm... thats not the problem but code alarm doesn have in thier diagram where the wires go... I know they goto the switches in the doors but not which one is what.
My alarm opens/closes both my windows and sunroof by remote. For the windows, my alarm came with a module. For the sunroof, I had my electrical engineering friend wire it up for me cause opening and closing the sunroof was not an option of the alarm. Anyway, I have a Clifford Avantguard4. Look around on the net and see if you can find a wiring diagram for your alarm or even mine. I'll look around my house and see if I still have the wiring diagrams that came with my alarm.

Thank you that would be a big help... its just running the wires it shouldnt be hard but instead of sitting there testing everything with a volt meter and what not... also some systems i need to go right to the switch others i only need to tap into the wire.. do you guys know what wire is what in there?
Check this page in the 7thgen site:

Maybe that'll help you out?

I would check out a factory service manual. It contains wiring diagrams for everything in the car. Or you could test for power and ground wires from your sunroof switch. Otherwise, I have no clue.

obtix, the windows up and down is a bit more complicated than youd think. its something called 5 wire reverse polarity. first id need to know if the alarm pulses out a + or a - from the brain when the window button is pushed.
