On each side of the cd slot there is a little light. Only the one on the right lights up green when a cd is in, the one on the left remains unlit. Any idea why? Everything works but it's just annoying me that only one lights up and I can't figure out why..

I'd imagine it's the anti-theft light.
Lock the car and peek through the window, does it flash every so often?
Mine does (2014 Civic EX Sedan, literally the same car as you, unless you have the coupe)

Maybe they are using that side as your "CD in player" reminder.

Both sides should light at night to help you locate the slot easily.

Pop the CD out and see if it goes off.

I noticed that sitting in my wife's SI the left of the slot is red (when it was off), the right is green (CD is in).

I have a 2014 Honda Civic Ex sedan. No, it doesn't blink, and no the other side doesn't light up at night. Only the right one is lit green when I have a cd in, and the identical one on the left side of the cd slot remains unlit at all times. I looked through the user manual and can't find anything It doesn't make any sense to me why the other side wouldn't light up.. it looks weird and not symmetrical. I was just wondering if maybe something was wrong. My phone wouldn't let me upload a pic. I'll try from the computer.

You guys were right about the security system..I saw the flashing red light today.. not sure why it wasn't blinking last night or other times but it was today! I was playing around with some settings, maybe I had it turned off if that's even a possibility? I feel better now lol thank you!
