Rep Power: 0 Standard 2012 civic, RPM give out around 3000
Im heavy on the gas, the harder i push the rpms before shifting. the more likely a kickback when the car starts to pass over 3000rpm.
Im no car expert but im trying to figure out the problem. Maybe i can post a short video sometime.
Seems as though there's a misfire, or something to do with the spark plugs. I was wondering if this was a common problem or if anyone has dealt with this kind of thing before.
Its a 2012 lx coup, standard.
Id be happy to gather any information and maybe ba back with a short video.
Thanks,
Damian

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Check engine light on? Got codes?

I had a problem that sounds very similar to yours. I have a 12 LX manual and whenever I gave it a lot of gas it would jolt. Same when shifting at high RPMS. I found a cracked intake duct (between the throttle body and air filter). It fixed the issue for me. It may be worth a quick look?

Looks like it should be pretty obvious if it's torn open
