DRL Nasty sound

Hey all, I've recently had the time to look into a nasty sound that was coming from behind the glove box in my 03 civic. I found the source, just don't know how to go about fixing it. I made a video of it, tell me what you think.

****The sound goes away as soon as I switch on my lights****

Find the DRL control unit and resolder the relay pins on the PCB.

Ok it's only been a week since fix, and I've noticed my right head light won't turn on for lo-beams, DRL works for both lights, as does hi-beams, but lo-beams only left side works. Could this be because of the solder, or is it just the lights gone bad?

Check the bulb, I dont think the low beams tie into drl control unit.

Check the bulb first but im sure they do tie in through the DRL module. You may need to replace it.

Especially if the bulb was fine before the fix.

Re: DRL Nasty sound

Took a look at your diagrams, doesn't seem like the under dash relay has anything to do with low beams. Honda Electrical manual 01-03 models W_DRL2 of 2.pdf if you follow line C9 down it goes to the right headlight. I haven't had the time to check the bulb, will post as soon as I can.

Re: DRL Nasty sound

A faulty DRL module will sometimes cause the relay behind the glovebox to buzz.

But as stated above, check the bulb first

Re: DRL Nasty sound

So It was just the bulb after all, recently went ahead and installed a 8000k HID kit, and they're shining with all their glory. Thanks again for the help.
