i need help....

here shortly, i will be getting rid of this sh*tty solara and jumping
into another honda....but i need help.....I know by my 2001 civic ex
that honda is kinda limiting things under the hood and that is not really
ok with me considering i like my power to be more than i weigh. well
ive heard that the 5th gen prelude does not respond well to mods and
even the 96 lude doesnt....its all about obdII vs obdI right?
i definitely want a car that responds well to mods.
so, my question is, do i look for a 99-00 civic si or do i look for a 92-95
prelude. I heard that the 92-95 lude responds very well but havnt heard much
about the si...can anyone help?

the 92-95 lude is light and has nice torque, but personally i would go with the 99-00 si, as there are TONS of parts available for the B16 that will make it fast. The biggest complaint i hear about the H22 is that there aren't many parts out there to make it faster. i would look around some sites and see what parts (that you would want to add) are out there for both cars, then make a decision

For OBD2 6G Civic, you can always get an obd2-to-bd1 harness. But don't overlook the 5G/6G D-series Civics. You think they're not moddable? Tell these guys that:

Noting wrong w/ an Si, but I think 5G/6G is gonna be cheaper to pick and the amount of parts available to play w/ on thepartstrader.com is unbelievable....

I think the switch to obd2 was in '96 b/c it was federally mandated for emissions purposes. So I am guessing that means the 99-00Si is indeed obd2.
