AWD Swap costs, struggles and info
AWD Swap costs, struggles and info
Hey everyone! This is my first post as I have recently bought a 96 Civic dx coupe.
I’m about to get a b18 block and considering the possibility of going AWD after that. I’m just wondering on the best route to go about that to piece together my own setup. Wondering my cheapest costs for good results, this is a budget build. Also curious about any common struggles there are to AWD swapping if anyone has any info on it that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance!!

If you're planning on going AWD swap in a civic, forego the b18 and save your money for the AWD swap. The amount of custom fab and fitting is gonna be waaaaaaayyyyy the hell expensive.

looks like the pictures somehow are back? maybe photobucket tracked back
like the thread title says, not for the faint of the heart.
And anyone that is asking is not likely to be one to actually do it. who made most of these, like cibaru, civette, and these two, usually does not ask, they up and do.

If you had the next generation (01-05) you could just buy a complete AWD civic that already has all the parts.

But of course to get the car into the country you would like need to chop it into pieces so that you could declare it to be car parts instead of an actual car.
An awd swap is not a project for someone that is not fully versed in auto repair and fabrication.
