go to a autoparts store to get the codes read - they do for free.

you cant read codes if the check engine light is not on, some short ram intake can do that, where you suck in hot air, and when the air is not cool the combustion isn't strong,
the light and heavy pedal feels check out your throttle body.

thanks guys for your comments.. the gas pedal wont feel heavy at night.. this only happens during the day when is hotter. and its spring so it's not 116 degrees like at summer im scared that in the summer it will get worst. it has a aftermarket akimoto cold air intake.. not sure if that could cause the problem. i get no check engine light and the light works because i can see it when it does the test when i start the engine. please help!!!
Btw it has a 5 speed manual tranny.

check your air filter make sure its clean. and btw you can check codes without the light being on. these are stored codes that the pcm/ecm (i dont remember what honda calls it) is keeping an eye on. the pcm wont throw a check engine light until it happens a few times usually twice. but there could still be codes
