Suspension advice

Hello everyone, first post on civicforums.
I hope you guys can answer my question(s) or criticize with whatever i'm doing is good or not.
So first off i researched right when i got the car on what suspensions i want.

I drive a civic 2000 EX Sedan
For my car, i was thinking about getting Ground control coil over sleeves(350/380Lbs), with Koni yellow shocks.
Then getting Function 7's lcas.
Last, a 22/23 mm sway bar+ASR brace kit(pacakge)

anyone know if thats a good rate for canyon running+dd?? And, can anyone help me convert it to kg?(can't find how to do it).
Also, why is it better to have a stiffer rear than front for spring rates, anyone tell me?
Will I need to buy anything extra to install those into my stock car?
Last, do i need to take ANY specification when i get these installed to my car?
As much help and advice will be best, noobie at work, so educate me!! thanks in advance

Re: Suspension advice

Get the springs, the LCA's are useless, and wait on the sway bars and braces till you can figure out how your car handels on the new suspension and then adjust from there. Buying more parts isnt gong to make your ride better, in fact, slapping on whatever parts you can afford will probably just make handling the car even worse with your driving style.

honestly go to another forum geared to your year civic. to convert to kg/mm divide the spring rate by 56. ie. 350lbs/in * (1/56) = 6.25 kg/mm. spring rates depend on motion ratios of your car and what suspension frequency you desire out of the car. suspension frequency is the only thing you can really compare car to car. in general the stiffer end of the car will be the first to lose traction. fwd cars have a general tendency to understeer, so the rear is usually modified to be stiffer than stock with higher spring rates, damping rates, and stiffer anti-roll bars. konis are a very good platform to start off on, and ground controls are a very good product and can be quite versatile. I suggest you do a lot more research about your cars suspension design on other forums. i just dont think youll find many answers here. but you can read the FAQ in the suspension section. there is a lot of good general info about suspension tuning in there. again, research more before you go and buy all these products and expect your car to carve through the canyons.

another import thing, have you thought about what tires you want to run??
