96 VTI ECU seems has Problem

Hello Every Body
i have civic 96 VTI AT , as i know that VTEC works at 4.5K or 5.4K rpm as i can hear sound for it like nice whistle now VTEC works @ 6.2K then the Gear shift to higher gear @6.5K

i want to know where is the problem !!

No CEL is off
Gear working perfect but Vtec works lately @ 6.2K but it must work as i know between 4.5K or 5.4K rpm ?? The car is 100% Stock

well im not sure when the vtec works in that car, but above 6k is too high. normally the check engine light would come on. i know on the newer cars the vtec only works if you are at full throttle and the car is warmed up with enough oil. maybe check the oil level?

Oil is new ... No warnings in the car ... Gearbox oil also new
may be there is ECU Problem ???

I bought the car soon ... if the previous owner plugged out the (-) Battery cable may cause the problem ?? i plugged out The (+) Cable as there was problem with airbags then i fixed it ...

- No errors on Scan Tool ??
** Why VTEC Works lately !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude i think your vtec is just set to 6k.do u have a vtec controller?

What do u mean ?? also other car with the same model - VTEC - works @ approximately 4.5 K
