Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

go color blind?

the easiest way is to pay someone to do it.

Though if you are talking about DIY, why not just buy one of those kits on craigslist and do it from there.

Now if you want even more of a DIY you should check out the DIY section, as it's been covered.

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

theres no easy way. its alot of work and also you need to know how to wire in blue led lights. aside from that, everything needs to come apart, you gotta clear and repaint the needles white instead of red, and strip the paint filter off the back of the cluster faces.

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

You could probably buy another cluster off eBay.

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

S7 autotechnic gauges off of ebay are tight! And they have mostly blue color. They are a breeze to put on, and they only cost about 80 bucks. They have the 3d look and they have worked great for me... Once I get home ill post some pics for ya.

[QUOTE=wallydude03;4415616]are these aftermarket gauges? whats the speedlimiter on these gauges?

These are actually aftermarket overlays! They are AC autotechnics S7 overlays with thier own lighting system. As far as a speed limiter im not sure what your talking about... I know I have gotten this car up to 135 and not had the actual speed limiter cut off my fuel, so I dont think I have one in this vehicle. Now the speed limit on the gauges themselves are 145. As you will be able to see in the pics below. They actually match almost perfect with my interior lighting by combining the stock reddish orange and the aftermarket blue stuff! Enjoy!

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

Install was a breeze! They fit right over the stock gauges... The wiring for the lighting is about a 4 on a one to ten as far as difficulty, but its worth it. I dont know if they have em for the 04 lx or not, but just check ebay for Autotechnic S7 overlay gauges. If they got em you should definetly get em. They make your interior look much nicer!

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

I appreciate all the help and suggestions, but I've been searching everywhere for any type of gauge overlay for the 2004 Honda Civic LX and I can't find anything. I don't know how a swap would be so does anyone know where I can find an overlay for my gauges?

Re: Help...Change Gauge Color...

they dont make any for 03-05 lx/ex since the gauges are as good looking as you can get. and theres no way to fit an overlay with the way the gauges are designed and the 3D shape.
