05 ex parking lights.
05 ex parking lights.
Hello, new here I tried to find a thread that would help but came up with a blank.
I have a 05 civic ex with a slight parking light problem. Neither the front or rears come on also interior lights for a/c don't either and the dash lights are on full bright( usually dim at night when you turn the headlights on).
I ran out of ideas. So far I've tried; replacing combination switch ,checked relays, checked all fuses(small lights ect.) and nothing has worked. Recommendations ? Please and thank you.

Re: 05 ex parking lights.
Do you hear a single click from under dash box while switching them on ??
Have voltage present at the small lights fuse when parking lights are on (there are tiny test points exposed on flat top at each end of fuse)

Re: 05 ex parking lights.
No voltage at fuse #2 (15A) located in under-hood box ??
That fuses source is another larger fuse....but you would likely have other symptoms if it was open.

yea that's why I'm as confused as you no there's no voltage test light or voltmeter to the fuse. Thanks for the diagram I'll do some more trouble shooting later and see if I find something.

Re: 05 ex parking lights.
Use an alligator clip jumper lead, and clip one side to a sharp tip awl's metal portion. Then use the sharp tip to apply voltage to fuse #2's test points while the other alligator clip is connected to battery positive. (USE CAUTION) (you will be temporarily supplying the missing voltage to that circuit) Have your parking lights on and watch for them up front to confirm.
It sounds as if you have an open between the large main fuse and the small lights fuse.
