MISSING LINK VALVE Q

ok first of all what is a missing link valve and wat does it do.secondly i think ACE646 made one at home so can some one tell me how to make one and where exactly to put it.by the way where does it go anyway.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

I belive they are only for turbo set ups. So unless you have a turbo, you have no need what so ever.

There's this thing called a MAP sensor. Manifold Absolute Pressure It's a pressure sensor that is in the intake tract that helps the ECU determine how much fuel to add. Since there's less air in the mountains than there is at sea level the ECU will add less fuel to have the optimum air/fuel ratio. That's why people complain that their car is really slow in the mountains. Anyway, with a turbo setup the MAP sensor would be buggin' out since it would read pressures way above atmospheric. The check engine light will go on and the ECU might actually put the car in limp mode. A mode that reduces the rpm's and increases the fuel to protect the engine from failure. Anyway, the Missing Link Valve fixes this.
