Rep Power: 0 i dont mean to come across as a jerk, but you have to make an attempt at the search function. its all in the ecu. there are multiple discussions on this.

For example: I keep seeing more and more e-mails about gas guages being innacurate - back in the day this topic was beat to death - but try to do a search on it - Nothing before July.

Rep Power: 339 I'm surprised no one has already posted this, but it depends on what trim you have. If you have a dx/lx then you have a 112 mph limiter (as noted in your manual ... but who reads those?), however the ex and si (sir)models don't have them.

Rep Power: 0 I was gonna start another thread about this but I guess I'll just add to this one.
I have an 01 EX and everyone says that the EXs cut off at 130mph. I've gotten mine up to 125 before but never felt the need to go up to the cutoff. 125mph was fast enough for me. Well, this weekend I was comin home on the highway at about 2 in the mornin. There was nobody infront of me for as far as I could see and since I was already doin 100 I figured I'd see where the cutoff was. So I took it all the way up to 138 or 139 and it was still goin but I stopped because that was way too fast and I was coming up to an overpass. What the hell's up wit that? Now, I do have a few engine mods and my check engine light was on, but I wouldn't think that either one of those would cause the fuel cutoff to not activate at the set speed. Any thoughts?

Well, I still don't know what the truth is.
I have an '01 LX and I can't go faster than 115mph.

Rep Power: 395 Well, in mine I can't go faster than 6,100rpm's in 4th gear because I'm at 115mph. It's not drag resistence in my case. The coupe's look like the new Accord coupe's and those have a really low coefficient of drag. I think ours are similiar.

Rep Power: 0 i have to agree with grey... my 2001 LX sedan tops out at 138 -137 and then kicks back to like 134... I reach these speeds usually on my trips up and down the east coast from NY to FL.. and like grey said... the RPM'S are def not whats cutting the fuel off cause if that were the case then i got enough room in 5th gear to hit atleast 150mph .. but the ecu def cuts it off... MY QUESTION IS THAT THE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVE SENT THERE ECU'S to JET, DO THEY STILL HAVE A speed GOV.

Rep Power: 274 I've had mine to 138mph. I posted this befor but every one gave me sh*t. I have a 2002 ex coupe. It took forever to get there. It was no problem getting to 125mph but after that I thought I was going to be in france befor I got there. Just for info france is 45 min. away. I was going down hill so it helped. I never hit a limiter but I hed to stop because I got scared. I see people in lambo's and ferr. going 200mph all the time. They pass you like you where sitting still I your going 120mph. That is crazy. Even in the rain They go about 150mph all the time. Way to fast for me.
