Problem after hard braking.

I was driving on the freeway at 70mph to pick up my girlfriend when some guy in a white pickup truck cut me off and slammed his brakes contiually. What a punk. He was trying to make me crash onto the back of his vehicle. I tried to go to another lane and he continued to block me. The speed was now 80. He slammed his brake again and I slammed mines. When I braked then I saw white smoke from my tire speeding past me. After that my ride quality is no longer the same. Whenever I drive, I feel like I am driving over small bumps even if the road is perfectly smooth. Does anyone know what happened to my car. I looked at my tires, and man they were fu(ked up. I was wondering if my tire became imbalanced as a result of the hard braking or if air escaped my tires. I tried to pump air in the tire to equal their pressure but it didn't help. Any response to my question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me when some guy cut me off. Bad news, you're probably gonna have to get at least 2 new tires. By breaking that hard, your wheels locked up and it actually wore a flat place on your tire. I doubt if it harms your car to drive on them, but its annoying as hell and obviously your tires are shot to sh*t. Its probably just the front 2 that due the most breaking that are messed up. Man, I must have followed that guy for 2 miles with my finger out the window...

Yup....sounds like flat spots in the tires....no way to really fix it without getting new tires. YOu might be able to balance some of the vibrations out, but it won't be perfect

I would have just gotten off the freeway or if it was that bad from what it sounds my *** would have just slowed down to nothing or gotten on the side of the road. But I guess it depends on how much traffic there is. I would have tried to get around him and just take off but thats me
That does suck. I hope you grabbed his license plate or something so you can report it and maybe make him pay for it. I dont know how well that would work, never had to try

Well you can't do burnouts to even it up. Unless you want flatspots up front (provided you dont have ABS) and bald ones in the rear. Nope, the only true way to even it up is to find the guy, get in front of him, and yank the e-brake. Waalaa, now not only does he have to pay, but you've got flat spots on all fours. Now just tell people you bought the "off-road" tires.....or move to a dirt road.
