TANNY SWAP.....questions on the ECM wire harness

hello, hope you guys can answer this for me i am a beginner as far as tranny's are concerned, anyway i found a 5 speed for my civic complete with clutch and ecm i am assuming these items are the only thing i have to swap out of my car ...do i have to swap the ecu out and also is the harness to the ecm interchangable....i am sure these are easily swapable i just need some more direction here, me and friend are making the swap, he recently swapped his auto in his mustang for a cobra r manual.....all flames requested...this is my way of research on this very site...to learn more about my car, so tell me if i need anything else...the pedals are obvious...thx for all info...also i plan to make a diy on this...

Well, along with the ECU and stuff, my guess is that you're going to need a new gauge cluster too. Plus, you're probably going to need a new trim ring and stuff for the center console. On top of that, there's nothing else that I can really think of that you'll need.

Console and cables? and the shifter assembly? All the hydraulics for the clutch? Reservoir, slave cylinder etc....
I don't see why you need a new cluster as long as it's not a DX, there's a tach... that's all you need. To run cruise control, I don't know... I'm not sure how its set up on both models. Using a Manual ECM may let you keep the cruise, but I'm not sure what sensors are involved. The clutch will shut off the cruise, but I don't know if there is a sensor somewhere, or if it is a mechanical switch.

you'r gonna need axles from a manual trans, ecu and harness from trans, your gonna have to replace your auto flexplate with a manual flywheel, slave cyl. hydralic plumbing, pedal assembly, shift linkage, shifter, clutch cable and brakets, and a reverse light switch if it didn't come with the new trans.
