spend ur time clearing head lights or something.

I adjusted my throttle cable and it was tight for a while, but now it has stretched back out again just like it was stock.

ok guys, lets just chill...
if he wants to do the DIY Throttle Cable Adjustment, thats up to him. if he asks for a lil help, let him get that help if your not willing to help him yourself. theres no need to flame the thread or being a jerk. its a simple question with a simple answer. i myself did the throttle cable and noticed a very minimal difference in throttle response, however i felt that it was worth it. if you dont feel that it is a worthy mod, then dont do it and keep your mouth shut.

Mine also stretched back to normal. But I didn't even tell it did till I saw it.

Guys you think it'll get you a better start but it wont. It jus opens up the throttle when you're chillin at a light, basically lettin a lil more air in and therefore wasting a lil more gas. People think cuz the throttle is semi-open at idle they get a better start, not true, the throttle still responds the same way but you jus start at a higher idle position.

Im not one to judge maybe you want more air in you manifold cuz of your turbo, but idling at a stoplight isn't gonna do much bro. You want the air? Spend ur time porting out your throttle body, tha'll accutally help when you're going instead of sitting at a light, and P&P accutally helps more air, something most ppl get confused with throttle cable adjustment.

Good luck

the entire point of the DIY throttle cable mod is to get rid of the play you have with the pedal...you SHOULD not idle higher after doing it..the throttle should not be open at all unless you have your foot on the accelerator

If you are braking, and downshift, why on earth would you hit the gas??? that doesnt make sense at all. Just leave it in gear and brake until your RPMS drop to a little above idle, then release the clutch to neutral until you are completely stopped. SOunds like you are doing more work than you have to not to mention you're probbaly gunna mess something up if you are hitting the gas and brake at the same time!!!
