Rep Power: 0 2 Throttle Cables
I want to follow the DYI and adjust my throttle cable, but I have two. On is for the cruise control I think. Anyone know which one to adjust? Should I do both? I'm thinking I may go to the dealer and say throttle response is sluggish and get them to do it I only have 130 KM on the car so far.....

Rep Power: 336 i dont recommend in tightening the throttle cable because its a waste.
ur going to be reving the car in neutral before u dump the clutch in a manual or brake torquing it if u have an auto. so the tightening the throttle cable really has no use.

Rep Power: 0 I did it to take up the slack and have better throttle response. The way its set stock is annoying, when your on the freeway and you want to accelerate there is a pause b4 the throttle responds. Taking up the slack reduces this pause.
Just don't go overboard like some ppl where they've run into problems with higher idle speeds. Easy to put back though if this happens. Just mark the wire with a marker b4 you start.

Rep Power: 0 I tightened mine i like the response differenance but you do rev neutral like "speedracersong" said but thats only till you get used to the response. if you have an auto I dont know what it will do but engin braking would make sense but when accelerating you would kick down faster so thats a plus

Rep Power: 293 Don't waste your time w/tightening the throttle cable, you'll either waste your time and get a placebo effect, thinking it made a difference but it really hasn't, or you'll just screw up your idle.
Not worth it IMHO, and should be taken off the DIY page
