im thinking about puting in a weapon r intake manifold but before i do i would like to ask some of you guys a very general question. What kind of gains can i expect from doing this? Whats going to happen to my low end, top end, torque?

usually the stock one is pretty well matched. if you mess around, getting one that is ported larger will decrease flow and give worse torque, altho higher rpm might yield some gains. only reason to change it is if youre going turbo or supercharge to let more air in.

intake, header, exhaust, pulley kit. but really if you plan on going to the dealer i would suggest brining your car there fully stock... they have plenty of reasons to blame any type of modification in the case if anything should break.. you can probably do all the mods you want. just make sure the dealer doesnt know about it.

LISTEN TO HIM!!! the whole point of the service department is to try and make money...i work at Maz/Sub, and we are actually pretty legit...except one mechanic who thinks he's the best, yet does crappy work...most of his cars we see in a week or two...

but our Honda dealership has tried charging me another $25 for a Transmission dipstick...because the area around where it goes is dirty...when my fellow workers saw that, we had a nice chuckle, and questioned their thinking...

EVEN on ephatch, one guy went in to get his transmission replaced under warranty, because his third gear was just about gone...the service department told him that they couldn't do it under warranty because he had 'after-market wheels'....pointing at his HFP wheels...that THEY put on...

i'll try and find the thread again...it's one of those things where they keep saying certain things need to be done because you have done completely unrelated stuff...

Re: Need Quick Answers Please Ty

haha yeah they missed where it said honda on the rim i guess. its amazing what they come up with. ive had a service guy tell me a valve job would be more expensive because i modified the car (racing intake and header). the header is the same size as stock, not that it matters. ive had them tell me that they were unable to aim my headlights with sylvania cool blue H4 halogens because the bulbs were way too bright and "caused too much glare above the cutoff" this is when i didnt know anything, but i did know those bulb were much dimmer than stock. just be careful with dealers, alot of techs are idiots or just want money. they come up with so many retarded excuse i wonder why anyone even bothers.
