high rpm clutch feel....

Its been bugging me , when I shift anywhere before 4500r the sound and feel of the clutch feels smooth and correct , but when I shift at say 5800 it feels like Im hurting the car when I press the clutch all the way down, so I tried shifting without pushing the clutch all the way down and it felt and responded alot better, but this cant be good for stock equiptment right, someone can give opinions , not sure if its stupid question used to have a v6 mustang auto trans, cant go back now ...

How many K's are on the car? If you think your clutch is going, Then Here's a simple test. Start it up put it in third, let out the clutch a little. If she stalls then your clutch is good if it keep idling then its clutch is going. You should always fully depress the clutch otherwise your popin the clutch.
