pleeease help help help.!!

I'm clearing out my headlights, took the clear cover off the headlight but the screws on the inside aren't Phillips head screws. i Mean they look like them but there is a metal thing inside it, It would look like an octogony type of screw with a metal tip inside it so i can't get at it with my phillips screwdriver., pleaaaase help anyone. Anytype of screwdriver gonna remove this thing?

bp_22ca is an unknown quantity at this point
I have a sedan and have never had my headlights apart... but sounds like you either need an allen key or a torx wrench with the center drilled out.

JB Dizzle has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i think i know what you're talking about... there's like an octagonal shape thing instead of a cross in the screw... i had the same problem... but what i did was just use a small head phillips and started twisting it... and walla!... i unscrewed it... i'm guessing you have an 03? try using a smaller head phillips to unscrew it

no dice, not even close, the smallest phillips that i got is too big, my old man says it could be a screw the dealer put in there so you couldn't tinker with it. any ideas? anyone else done this to a coupe?

are the sides flat or kinda rounded? If they are flat then you need a hex/allen key. If they are kinda rounded in then you need a torx key. If there is a pin sticking up in the center you need to drill out the center of whatever size it is.

Being automotive I'm gonna guess it's a torx head, I've used a 2mm (.080") drill bit to drill out the centre of a T20 torx head for something else before.
