Vafcii?????
ok so i just had a vafcII put into my 2003 honda civic ex with the B17. it runs fine until i go to set my v-tech to a high point. i would like it to kick in around 5500 however when i set it it bogs out and i get a emission light on??? then i cant get it to rev over 4 grand. its like a revlimiter has kicked in. any one who has a vafc in there b17 and can tell me the settings there useing or has any idea what is going wrong.... please help.....

Can't tell you what settings to use bc I don't know. I say leave the stock vtec point and get it tuned by adding and pulling fuel to get the maximum a/f ratio for most power. Your car is running in safe mode if its not revving past 4000.

Your vafc2 has a "Vtec learning" feature.
You need to reset that.
Then put your Vtec engagement point back to stock. (2800LOW/3200HIGH)
You car is in "limp" or "protection mode".
You’ll need to reset you ecu. (if you have a code reader GREAT)
If not go to auto zone have them erase it & see if you throw any more codes.
There is a good chance you fvcked up an 02 censer or something to do with your emission...

So this is a free post then huh. Thanks. haha jk.
This is the third thread like this in as many weeks. There is a search buttin up top.
U can set the VTEC engagement yes but setting the air/fuel without not knowing what ur doing is gonna hurt ur engine. I would just set it back to stock engagement and wait till U get it tuned. this has been covered many many times. good luck
