Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +
Re: Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +
Wife's 94 civic DX has 158,xxx. Original auto tranny. Nothing major ever done to it. Since we've been married ( 8 months ), I've done fuel filter, air filter, plugs, wires and cap, tranny fluid, inner and outer tie rods, brake fluid, tires, thermostat and water pump. Just regular maintenance stuff. Next up is new struts/shocks and ball joints. Car runs great. Could use a paint job

My 05 Civic special edition 5speed is at 298 000kms, bought in August of 05 brand new. Basically have just done regular maintanence including changing the timing belt twice. I change my oil every 16 000kms with sythetic. Still runs new and doesn't burn oil or use any more fuel than before. My car has been operated in the heat of the Alberta summer to the blizzards of the winter where it can be -30c for days. This car has seen it all.
Only things that have gone wrong is the fuel cable release lever is broke so I have to open the truck to release the fuel door, and the backlight for the rear defrost button is burnt out or something. The shocks are gonna need changin one of these days but it's not that bad right now, just a bit more boucy than usual
I drive like a grandpa but I don't care, my 180km commute everyday is one the the best parts of my day, straight highway listening to howard stern.

2000 civic ex with a little over 105,000 miles on it. Plan on changing the timing belt soon and oil. and doing the forgotten tune up mods thanks to gearbox.
explains why my car has been a little sluggish.

190K on '97. 40 mpg!
Ticks after startup and burns nearly a qt. in 1000 miles - otherwise just great.
Oil burning hasn't gotten any worse over the last 40K miles since I bought it so I'm not worried. Would be nice to change the stem seals though.

Right now I am at 227000 miles or 363200 km on a 2001 Honda civic LX 4 door. Original engine and transmission. Struts are replaced 2 times, first with AGX, and currently riding on Tokico Blues. Spring are replaced with Eibach Pro. Have my 2nd timing belt done and alternator replaced (2nd as Honda dealer replace my alternator already) in 2009. Burn engine oil and gas guzzle if I go beyond 75- 80 miles/hr.Transmission started to grind a little. Throttle not as responsive as expected. Otherwise, no complaints.

132,000 on my '02 Civic EX. Will be changing my front oxygen sensor soon. Right now I'm dealing with the P1457 code. Already replaced the EVAP valve, that didn't solve it. I'm guessing it's probably a bad sensor.

I only have 93k on my 05 at this point, but I am catching up. I put on 40k a year on it. I average 36-40 mpg. I change oil with mobil 1 every 10k and also use napa gold or mobil 1 filter. From what I am reading the timing belt seems to be an issue?

I haz 114114 miles on my 02 ex.
Needs tranny work (needs second gear synchro replaced and a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel from what I can tell), a new cat, and I need to fix an intermittent P1457 code. When I got a leakdown test done in 07, a 5% leakage past my rings was reported.. Hooray for byproducts of a cheapo turbo install and bad tune

I got 172,000 on my 03 lx and it runs great with oil change every 5000 miles, I sold my 92 accord ex to my friend last summer, it had 348,000 miles on it and he is still driving it. Just had to replace the clutch and a few front suspension parts.
Re: Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +
1999 Honda Civic LX Sedan 284,000 Miles... pops owned it for the first 5 years put on about 190,000 miles.. but changed the oil every two to three weeks (2,000 - 3,000 miles) besides needing a tune-up it runs like new
Re: Hi-milage cars. Who's got 100k miles +
Yep I've got 222K on my 01 Lx. I bought it from a lady who took great care of it. it still had the original clutch whitch was about to explode! after changing the clutch, spark plugs and air filter I'm pulling dow on average 450 miles when the gas light comes on. I comute just about 150 miles round trip every day so they are not city miles, but from driving my Hemi Durango every day to this... I think I gave myself a raise.
