Question for cam gear owners

I recently installed AEM cam gears in my 2002 ex. Later that day I noticed that the bolts slipped and retarded my timing to the maximum. So i adjusted it back to 1 degree advanced. When I went to start my car it didnt turn over. So now my car doesn't start. I didn't reset the ignition timing... is that why it's not starting now? What else could be wrong?

Sounds like the 3 bolts were not tightened properly. check the belt for missing or torn teeth. also check the cam timing. set the engine to tdc with the white mark on the crank pulley lined up Exactly with the pointer on the oil pump. then look at the pully and make sure (at zero degree setting) that the little marks on either side are lined up exactly with the top part of the head on either side. If it is not exact your car will not start or will not idle. but check the belt first it may need to be replaced.
Also a cam gear is a waste unless you have a reground cam or shaved head. I know I own one and gained 2 hp on a dyno by setting it back to zero. you live and learn.

The post topic is "question for cam gear owners". I have a cam gear in my car and thought I'd let him know my car runs fine with the stock one.
