do pullies really do anything ?

I was thinkin about pickin some up, but I have heard that they either don't do anything at all and from another person said they actually decreased his power and he got rid of them .... it can't be a case by case thing there has to be some justifcation for buying them, I have yet to hear any.... Does anyone know exactly whats goin on that would answer this, also what are your experience with them on your car if you have had or still have them, cause so far the only benifit I see is that they look better then the stock pullies .........

If you just want looks, just paint them. You can pick any custom color instead of blue, red, or silver. WAIT...better yet have them powder coated or anodized. The material will most definitely not wear off, unlike normal paint does. Who is with me on painting the pullies? Anyone done this?

well they made a difference on my mustang, but I didnt see any difference on the ones that I bought for my civic. HOWEVER, there is a considerable difference in weight between the two in a side by side comparison.... I dont know I would have to think that it did something, just not enough to notice.
