I opened my headlights recently and painted the housing black. The day i installed them it was raining out adn i did them in the garage. When i resealed them (with shower caulk type stuff) and installed i noticed that there was fog in my headlamps. The fog went away when the car was in direct sunlight but returned wehn it was in the shade. What would be the root of the problem, did i miss a spot in the seal when i re-sealed them? Or could I have sealed moisture inside since it was raining adn there was so much moisture in the air? Also, what should i use to reseal them to keep this from happening a second time? (Silicone?)

re open headlights reseal it again. with more silicone. it should work.
do that in nice day ,( no raining day lol).

try pulling the seal around the headlight bulb when it is nice out and turn on the lights to heat up the interior air and dry it out.

Thanks guys, me and my friend are gonna reopen the seal tomorrow (hopefully sunny) and try again.
