Smudge on passenger's window
Smudge on passenger's window
I just bought a 1999 Honda Civic for my daughter. I bought an identical 99 for my son earlier in the year. Both vehicles have a smudge or residue on the inside corner of the passenger side window which covers the view of the side mirror. I took my son's smudge off with naptha but it has come back and when we had it in for a ding on the door, the body shop said it was a part that cost about $400. I didn't get to talk to him so I don't know what this part is. In both vehicles the windows have an aftermarket tint job that came with the car. Since both vehicles have the same problem I thought it might be something that has been identified. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Smudge on passenger's window
^ I'm thinking your window liner some how is getting stuck when your window moves and its wiping the tacky adhesive on there.
Re: Smudge on passenger's window
I was hoping to avoid having to remove the door panel but that may be the only solution. I thought that since this happened on both Civics, it might be a know problem.
