electric probem for passenger side front window 96ex

Hey i have this 96 ex, the passenger window wont go up and down unless i jum the motor directly to the battery im assuming the problem is in the wiring somewhere ive swaped out the switch for the rear passenger side and still nothing. Could my drivers side master switch be the problem ? Or is it definatly a broken wire somewhere ?

Sounds like some testing would be in order....

how would i go about testing the drivers side passenger switch ?

heres what i got from my testing
all other windows work
the motor works if i jump it from the battery directly
replacing the passenger front window switch doesnt make it function

Re: electric probem for passenger side front window 96ex

If it were in my bay I'd get a wiring diagram, and a voltmeter or test light.

I'd figure out which 2 wires at the drivers switch are used to run the window in question, and start testing.

Wait up....FIRST I would hold the switch on and swing the door fully open and closed a couple times. If the window moves at all, you have broken wires in the door jamb (very common). Try it on both the drivers door and the broken door.
