Won't go into 3rd gear I'm new at this but I need to know why my 96 Honda Civic will not go into 3rd gear after the gears got slamed. Its a manual and and angry boyfriend trying to change gears.I was told that the gears could be bound up any help?? Thank you in advance for

Does 4th work ok? You need to try to get it into 3rd at the trans side of the shift linkage. Maybe he just bent or broke something related to the shifter
In my experience replacing the trans is usually the way to go when I break something. Recommend finding a less angry boyfriend or one smart enough to fix what he breaks.

You might want to rethink some of your life choices. His anger management problems just cost you a transmission, and it's likely to cost you far more than just car repairs as his problem becomes your life
Trans probably will need to be rebuilt/repaired/replaced to fix it.
its a manual and a 96
