Difficult Second Gear

Difficult Second Gear
I have an 06 DX, Manual. Sometimes (75%) second gear is a little difficult to get in to. I dont think it is me, as I have been driving nothing but manuals for 13 years. It seems like it goes into gear, but releasing the clutch gives a nice grinding noise. If I push the clutch back in, it goes into gear. Anyone got any ideas? If the mods think this should go in another location, feel free to move.
