Squirrel: Thats a good price, but I really dont have money right now. I might later on, but money is tight right now. I like that kit a lot though. Is the kit the BC1 or the BC2? What quality of FG is it? Where did you purchase it from? Sorry for all the questions.

i am going to be puttin the kit on. my mechanic back home really wants to help me do it. he loves workin on my car, cause all he works on all day is ford work trucks. his shop has a lift and everything, so he said that when i got it in, that i could use his shop and all of his tools, and that he will be there for tech help. he is one of the coolest country town shop owners that i know. plus i am real good friends with all of his sons. Nathan aka squirrelcivic, is going to ride down and help me out too

As far as my swap goes, it'd just about done. I'm taking my time. All I have left to do is pop the axles back in and hook up the tranny then fill it with fluids and it's ready to roll...hopefully. I used an engine hoist to pull the engine and drop in the new one, btw.

green - it's a buddy club 1 . i got it from vision autodynamics . the fiberglass is good quality . there are no flaws in the glass or anything . there is one small chip on the drivers side rear bumper from shipping but it's nothing that cant be quickly fixed.

got all my gauges hooked up today. air/fuel , boost , and oil pressure.

andy - glad to hear your up and running again . are you putting the kit back on your new engine ?

when are we gonna have another louisiana meet ? thanksgiving break is coming up soon ? just a thought .

Thats good to hear andy. Thats what I thought you would do. It was either that or you knew someone for a car lift. Take your time and everything should come out right.

Squirrel - Sounds like a good kit. How soon do you want to get rid of it? I'm interested, but dont know when I will come up with that kind of money. School is taking up a lot of it. I'm down for a meet. I dont think I was here for the last meet all of yall did. Where and when?

i'm in no hurry to get rid of the kit . who knows , i might end up getting tired of it being in the shop and put it on one day if no one goes for it .

it would be cool to have another thanksgiving week meet . that way everyone is off of school and can at least get one day off of work . something like the 21st or 22nd . the 29th might be hectic cause of allthe shopping and crap . alexandria , br , lafayette, makes no difference to me . what yall think ?

Well, the swap was a success. Engine runs like new. I'll be enjoying having a reliable daily driver until spring when I hit those 11's

well guys, we had the car club up and running with ten cars until last night. we totalled the WRX that was in the club. me the owner(driver) and my roommate all went out for a drive while we waited until everyone else got finished studying. we came around a curve tooooo fast and lost control over corrected and shot straight for the ditch. we went backwards into the ditch at about 70mph give or take a few.we are all very lucky to be alive. all four rims bent the you now where and back. passenger rear tire was smashed into the back seat(pushed up through the bottom of the car) passendger side was gone from where we bounced off of and skidded againgst the trees. i will try and get some pics up later tomorrow because we are going to go and look at it in the junk yard. man, the WRX was modded pretty good. he just oredered new rims that day, and just recieved a sponsorship from a company in BR and was going to go the the race/show in birmingham this weekend. we all had our seatbelts on and we are very lucky to be here. just wanted to let you knoow. but i am still ordering the kit. oh and the guy is thinking of having an R33 shipped over. he is already looking at some.

ummm, i just ordered Turbo XS dual stage manual boost controller. Catalyst told me that that one is tight, cause it has a high and low boost setting on it and i can switch from low to high under full boost

Oh **** dude, I didn't know it was a manual boost controller. Why not an electronic? Do you know the difference with them? With the manual bc, you have to pop the hood every time to switch it, with the ebc, you can adjust it and switch settings from inside the car while you drive.
So...if you get someone revving on you while you're in low boost setting, you're screwed, you can't turn the boost up.

with the dual stage manual boost controller , you have a switch on the inside of the car . you just flip it when you want to go from your low boost setting to your high boost setting. and you can switch at full boost . simple but effective
