Does anyone know how to setup a drl system with the front turn signals so they always stay on in bright mode without the other lights being on? I think this would look good. They sell kits but most are around $300

Rep Power: 0 you want the two amber lights on whenever the ignition is on?
use a relay, you'll have to put wires through the firewall, but thats not a big deal. Or you could tag the parking light wire near the fusebox, but that'll keep the rear parking lights on too.

Rep Power: 0 well if your going to be installing the system the front parking lights would become useless, so you could disconnect that wire. You would have to use two relays: one to power up the turn signal filament when the ignition is on and one to cut the power to it when the turn signal indicators are active, letting the car control the turn signal filaments.

Rep Power: 0 It's not that complicated...
Parts needed: wire, 2x relay's, per side.
Basicly you would reverse the wires, with some fancy trickery...
You would need to power the relay, and ground it too. I dont remember the voltage for the bulb though... so it gets a little tricky. Basicly you want to switch the input wires. The relays are there to act like a fuse, and regulate the amount of power. I wish I could be more help, but I'm at work right now.
