The stock clear bulbs look yellow when on and white when flashing (not hyper white, just regular white). They are certainly not the orange color.
I'll write a review once I get those new bulbs. I decided leds aren't gonna work, so it's down to finding a nice bulb. Chrome coating sucks, and stock orange coated doesn't look all that great during the day. Hopefully the polargs will be a compromise.

but the silverstar are blue when off and when I look at their online store they are like $22. there isn't an autozone or pep boys very close but maybe worth a drive. Are these the ones you're talking about?

so the clear bulb blinks amber huh? Maybe I'll drive out there this week.

yeah the autozone website sux. Just go to any auto store that carries bulbs for autos. Just buy the ones with the clear glass and you should be ok. If you have a 04+ then your headlights will look clear. The 01-03, your going to have to take out the amber glass piece if you want that cleared look. I just mentioned sylvania, because they were cheap at $3 and those were the long lasting kind. The LL series. I wouldn't pay more then $10 for turn signals honestly.
I still think the color is more of a yellowish when there blinking, just less yellow then when there not blinking. When its blinking it'll give off a similar color to what you get from a 60watt bulb. Its a little bit brighter and no more of that ugly orange color. My idea of a white is the color you get from floruesent bulbs. I like that color white.
I'll try to post pics of car at night. I got midterms this week, so no time.

Thanks for the help....I want the bulbs to blink amber and be clear the rest of the time. I'll definitely have a look at your pics (both yours and gearbox's)
Thanks

Having bulbs blink amber and be clear at the same time is not possible. It is with the chrome coated amber bulbs, but the color won't be pure amber (more of a dirty orange). The polargs I'm getting have a tint of orange to them, but it's shiny instead of dull. We'll see. I just think the stock clear bulbs look like the headlight is broken or something...like when people wreck the car and break off the corner lamps and there's just the clear bulb flashing.

I just finished all midterms today so i had the time to post some pics.
I took most of the pics with the flash off, but they still came out kinda crappy. Like i said at night there more of a goldish color and there more of a yellow white kind of color when they blink. Similar to the kind of light you get from a 60 watt bulb.
I also uploaded a pic of how my xenon reverse lights look. There brighter then stock, but all the red light from my tail lights drown out the white color. I'm thinking of just switchin back to stock on the reverse lights since they look kinda ugly in the day time with the blue bulbs sticking out.

TemjinX2 what kind of lights do you have for your regular headlights. They seem pretty bright. I'm thinking about getting silverstars and if that's the result then that's awesome. Let me know and thanks for the help.

Here's a better pic of what I had imo. Stock clear bulbs and halogen headlights (syl. cool blue). It's not bright white but not orange either. Kinda like a yellowish white almost. I just didn't like the color with my new hids. Looking forward to getting those amber bulbs. I'll post a few pics when they come in. I already got yellow tinted fog bulbs.

Wait let me get this straight...they make clear bulbs that light up amber all the time?
What brand are they again?
I'm running PIAA hyperwhites in my turn signals right now...nice bright white light that goes great with my silverstars, but ugly looking blue bulb.

Okay lemme summarize:
1. stock clear bulbs, no coating, regular white/yellowish light
2. Hyper white bulb with blue coating, lights up whiter than stock
3. orange coated bulbs, lights up amber
4. chrome covered orange bulbs, no color when off, but very dim and dull amber when on.
5. led amber bulbs, true amber light, looks clear when off, but not bright enough when on during the day.
6. polarg visual amber, ion yellow (not orange) coating when off, amber when on. This is what I'm getting.

They are pricey however. I'm gonna write a review when the amber ones come in. I think they're gonna be good because it's not completely coated in chrome but enough to make it look different and still light up bright.

yeah you gotta compromise pretty much. White light with the ugly blue in the day or clear bulbs with the ugly yellow at night. I went with the clear bulbs since i figure most people can only see the details of your car in the day time.

I'm hoping those visual bulbs will still be nice at night and not as orange during the day. So it's a compromise between regular and chrome.
Have you guys seen some of the cars like the vw passat that have a chrome shield around the bulb or other method of hiding the reflection. I was thinking of a way to do this and have a few ideas. I tried molding a small bulb cover out of clear reflective plastic and it was good at making the orange bulb invisible, but the plastic didn't really match with the headlights when I stuck it in. Another thing would be making a chrome cap over the bulb much like the headlight bulb has. I can't see a way to fit it unless you open the headlights and mount it. Even then, some orange is still visible. Other companies like acura have crafted light housings to mask the reflection. A really good idea was the lens on the 99-2000 civic.

Ya I will but it sucks. I don't know if I should order from a different site again because maybe they might send em. Someone else sent them an email to see if they reply.

I bet you get them...
I bet you get them. They for sure have crappy service but the problem of course with internet biz is that they are probably a small little company and don't maintain a lot of stock on hand. They get your order but then have to wait for their supplier. I hope you get 'em.

Well the site just closed down with a message saying refund or product has been sent. There's no refund, so I guess that means I'm getting em soon.
