Rep Power: 0 Emissions System – Small leak detected question
Engine light came on for an emissions leak on my 2005 civic. Brought it to the dealer who ran a pressure test and said they could find no problems. Cleared the light and it was fine. The check engine light has come back on with the same error. Other than the leak down test, what should I be looking at?
Thanks

Re: Emissions System – Small leak detected question
likely cause, (but don't throw parts without diagnosis) are: loose gas cap, plugged vent line, bad purge solenoid.
As previously asked which code did you get?

Re: Emissions System – Small leak detected question
i can't remember for sure but i think i had that same code about a year ago,
my problem was caused by the canisters shut off valve leaking,
you can test it by removing the valve, plug one end of it with your finger then blow into the other end, if you hear air coming out then its leaking,
do that test in both directions,
tip - its alot easier to remove that valve if you remove the whole canister from the vehicle
