Yes...it's on the bulb...a little black strip....so that the light goes up and not down......
Do you think my problem is because of the lack of a glare shield or bad aiming?
I called Caspers Electronics and asked about my Prolumen Rebased H4 bulbs and he said that the shields that they sell will only work for D2S or the D2R HID bulbs and not rebased ones. Sooo looks like the Prolumen kits don't come with shields and tricky aiming will be the only thing one can do to reduce the amount of glare that I'm seeing.....
So the only other option I have is fiding bulbs that will attach to the harness I have and that they have shields built onto the bulb....or I could spend the $65 US and attempt to modify the caspers to fit my h4's with the risk of messing it all up because I would have to remove the current base and find a way to attach the bulb to the Casper base with some sort of glue....so the positioning and aim of the bulbs could be completly off.....
So it looks like Im just going to spend some time aiming the headlamp down as far as it goes....

what kind of bulbs are these

Because if I mess up trying to attatch my own sheild...then I can just get these ones online....because they have the same power connector ends.....

i'll try and post a pic later of what the glare shield looks like. It covers the bottom half of the bulb (not touching it ofcourse). Don't know what material it is, but hid does burn alot cooler than halogen.

turkey baster.

go to the HIDPLANET university or search for turkey baster mod. it's basically a $5 casper shield that you make yourself. do that and JB weld it to the bulb base

i see that you finally have high beams. Was it hard to install the highbeams? With my e46 i had to get a bi-xenon control circuit and then solder a diode. Man your zkw seem like it got a lot of color at the cuttoff. Very nice.

it wasn't as hard to get bi-xenons as it was to get the tyc to work properly. and yes, they have a LOT of color at the cutoff. it's orgasmic
