I have a 2004 civic LX also but im just gonna be bringing mine into a shop to get the neons installed, too much of a hassle.

it is not too hard. try to find a spot where the light will be visible but the bulb wont be. a couple people cut the bottom of the bumper out and attched it there, I dont have pics of that though, sorry. Otherwise it is a pretty easy install
