fuel/trunk cable broken. HELP!

Okay so here is the rundown. I drive a 2005 Civic Si Sedan which was my brothers. I currently use the valet/spare key to start the ignition and unlock the car. My brother locked the master keys in the trunk and I cannot open it. My fuel door/trunk cable is broken (as you can see in the picture). To open my fuel door, I use my key to pop it open because that's what my brother told me to do. I tried pulling the silver cable that is shown in the picture to hopefully pop the trunk but no go. If anyone has ideas to open my trunk or to maybe fix this problem without going to Honda, it would be greatly appreciated.
