I was putting the alternator back on my car after fixing the AC and then i snapped the bolt in half when tightening the nut on the alternator. Its the nut and bolt that are in the cetner of the black plastic piece on the alternator. Car is a 2007 Honda Civic LX. I have the following questions:
1. Can i replace just this bolt and the plastic part or do i have to replace the whole alternator? I'm not seeing options online to buy the part but i don't knwo what it is called.
2. If it can be replaced can you provide me wtih a link to the part or the name so that i can search it? Also wondering if there is some how to guide on it.
Thanks

Reason: pout in the car year and type.
One good way for odd part is ... the junk yard.
Only problem is ... 2007 Honda Civics are not yet in the junk yard.
Next is the dealer. They may have just the bolt and plastic part (or nut or whatever). As needed.
If it's on the official microfiche parts list you can get it (by online ordering) from discount parts suppliers at various dealers near you (less cost for shipping).
