(FIXED) crank no start condition

Hello i will try to explain everything although i know ill miss a few things. I have two 98 honda civic lx automatics both are d16y7s. One is white one is black. The black one ive had a few years runs great. The white one i bought with front end damage for $100. I replaced the radiator core support and a few other miscellaneous things. However now when i tried to start it it doesnt start. Took off the valve cover immediately checked the timing belt which is good. Spark is good i tried swapping the distributor and wires with my other car to see if it made any difference they both work. I swapped the plugs out with some newer ones i had lying around made no difference. Ive recharged the battery and had it tested which is fine. I checked the cps wire which was an issue on my other car that was fine. Checked all fuses and grounds everything looks good. Tried swapping the main relay and the ecu made no difference there. I can hear the fuel pump prime and checked for fuel going into the rail but havent checked injector pulse and i have not checked compression or timing. I dont see any cels coming on. Cranks over fine can crank by hand fine. My question is are there any sensors i can try swapping that could be causing the crank no start? Inertia switch or fuel cutoff relay or something like that? Ive tried starting it in neutral and drive to see if the shifter switch was possibly at fault. Ive tried starting fluid before that didnt do anything either.

Re: Help with crank no start condition

Could be the CPS itself if the wiring is good.

Thanks for the input! Ill check it with a voltmeter and see how it tests. Suppose ill check the timing too since ill have to take the crank pulley off

Check all chassis and engine grounds. Start engine in WOT...might be flooded? Use starter spray or TB cleaner in the throttle body while cranking.

Ive used quite a bit of starting fluid so the thought did occur that purhaps it was flooded, when i was testing spark i did have the injectors unplugged to try to prevent that. I havent gone wide open but ill give that a try

WOT when cranking disables the fuel injectors and allows maximum air intake into the cylinders. If you suspect flooding Ezone's reply #4 in this link will help: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/3...-no-codes.html

You may want to pull the ECU and check for any burnt or loose components.

You're welcome and glad you got it sorted out. I've had to crank at WOT at times when my engine sat for long periods.
