Rep Power: 0 1999 Ex Crank No Start
Just a quick question. It is a 1999 Honda Civic Ex with an Automatic trans. I have a crank no start. Should my RPM gauge be working while it is cranking over? Things I have checked so far- all fuses, fuel pump is turning on and
working, timing belt is not broken, battery voltage is good.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Does it have compression?
Is there fuel?
Are the spark plugs soaking wet?
Is it flooded?

Re: 1999 Ex Crank No Start
I am having the same issue as well. Mine will start but when I et it sit to warm up it will die when I press on the gas. I live in Indiana so the temps are pretty low here. I checked the main relay and did a swap but no fix, spark plugs are in the normal range of wear and they are NGK brand, I here the fuel pump run but may need to take further investigation on pressure, plug wires are not damaged, battery is good, and I am a little puzzled. If I start and let it run I can drive it immediately without it struggling before it warms up to normal operation temperature but once I turn it off it will crank but no start. Waiting for a good warm day to get out into the garage and dissect this engine to further investigate the nuisance. Leaning toward a bad fuel pump because it could have bad pressure as in causing hard start due vapors

You could check fuel pressure and rule that out pretty easy.
What car is this you have now?
(You have posted in the past about some non-original combination of engine-head-ECM)
Got codes?
Got scanner?
Got coolant temp sensor accuracy?
