in need of advice on 2002 suspension..
what's the best way to go..
been getting a lot of the squeeky shyt going on lately (which usually means bushings are going (after 6 months/4 months lowered??..WOW))
so just go with a poly bushing kit (and who has one available?? i hear Neuspeed is still in the works (have since heard they are available, but the few suppliers i've spoken with up here say even the "middle man" can't find a part #)
or go with a different sway bar..(again, who has one available??)
any ideas about stronger ball-joints??
or anyone know what else might be causing all this racket?? (when steering especially...slow speed or at a stop..))
i do have the Neuspeed lower tie bar coming..but what else can i/should i do??
tia..

can you describe the noise better? do you get it going over bad road? over speed bumps? when your pushing the gas? when your steering at slow speed? is it a constant squeek? is it like the squeek mex had (how a bed sounds with two people goin at it)?

Does it constantly squeek?? Mine squeak when i wake up to go to school in the mornings. Most of the time it just does it when its really cold outside and after i pull out of my driveway the squeak goes away. Everything is just really stiff under colder conditions, do you think this may have anything to do with your problem?
thanx for the replies guys..
some squeeking under any conditions..
but i guess what's got me spooked is the clunk-clunk type noise when i'm steering while driving slow..
kinda as if something under the car were knocking??

if your still and you turn the wheel from the left to the right, you hear it? people often describe it as a popping.. if so, its cause the top perch isnt installed right

well i'm its assuming its that noise(?)
ya i'm talking about the rubber thing the spring goes into at the top.. it has lil grooves for the springs.. people were saying, the grooves look even all around but if you look closely, one side is actually narrower then the other. the end of the spring goes into the narrow side. also installing 'spring isolators' help get rid of alot of noise.. its the rubber tubing that should have been on the bottom of the stock spring.. my car didnt come with it tho. but ya your supposed to take it off the stock one and put it on the lowering springs, if you dont have one, you can buy it... not sure who sells them tho.
oh and whats causing the noise is, when you turn the wheel, the strut is supposed to just turn along with it.. BUT the spring is slightly moving as well, thats whats making the "popping" noise. if you jack up the car and turn the wheel, you probably wont get the noise cause the springs arent under as much load.. but you'll realize you could slightly twist it with your hands...

thanx pal..
ya, i've got the "sleeves" from the original springs on there..
(i have seen after market ones available too from a supplier, i'll try and track them down and let ya know who.....US based company)
i'll try and find a way of getting the front end jacked up and see if i can re-adjust the spring placement..hopefully it'll fix things up
i'll have a look to and see if a poly is available for that spot too..(for the upper strut mount/spring support...more likely when one will be available )
thanx again big time guys for the advice!!
be talkin' with yas..
