Suspension overhaul
Suspension overhaul
New to the forum and relatively new to my civic.
Inherited a 7th gen 2002 civic ex with 200K+ miles. Suspension needs some work.
There are some great write ups here, so thanks for all the time you all have invested.
I plan to do the following:
- LCA bushing replacement
- Sway bar bushing replacement
- ball joint replacement
- stabilizer bar end link replacement
I saw good write ups for all of the above, just wondering if there is anything I should keep in mind when doing all three, in terms of order. For example, leaving the LCA attached to assist in breaking the ball joint loose. I am sure I will start to figure things out as I get under there, but if you have any tips to save me from running in to trouble, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
-- Pete

Re: Suspension overhaul
unless there physically damaged or making noise i would go by age and or mileage. there fairly inexpensive so you mite as well replace them while everything is apart. you wouldn't want to have to go back and replace them a month later then have to pay for another alignment.
