So, years ago, I traded my OEM 04-05 headlights for a painted OEM 04-05.
Kinda got tired of the gray, so I painted mine black. Here's how it came out:

I'll get some pics tomorrow of the car.
I'm probably going to wet sand my headlight lens next weekend...looks dull.
^Thanks!

JUNE 3, 2009 update.. accident, first retrofit with TSX projectors, homemade carbon fiber arm rest

This isn't one of those DIY step by step article. I did it myself.

Re: My first DIY!!!
The BOH.. I'd say it took about 4 hours or so.. But, I'm not sure if I started at 1 or 3 pm today. I guess anywhere between 3-7 hours???
I guess I learned from this: I think you will need little clamps just to hold the two pieces together (headlight lens and the back) while you are letting the silicone dry. I only had one and I had to kinda switch back and forth. Hopefully, I don't have leaks
Oh, I have some gloves, a ton of silicone, and some fine grit sand paper. I didn't really use the sand paper though. I have a can of primer and a can of satin black, so I'll help you out with paint if you'd like.

Just let me know when you're free and hopefully I will be able to help you out on the day you like.

Well, taking off the bumper is a piece of cake. No longer than 5-10 minutes, if not, even less lol.

Re: My first DIM (Did it myself)!!!
Thanks man!
Ugh.. so, my headlights are fogged up pretty bad. I drove for about an hour or so taking my sis to her dorm and the fog has cleared up a bit, but it'll probably come back. Looks like I'll have to buy some clamps this time with another round of adding silicone.
I tried to get pics, but they came out pretty bad. Can't really tell. I will update soon.

Re: My first DIM (Did it myself)!!!
open them up, bake it to evaporate all the water, then reseal. make sure stock vents are working properly. sometimes you mightve pressed them down and closed em. theyre lil circle plastic knubs on the backside that vent into the housing. or you just didnt use enough silicone. or try 3m window weld.

update with cold cathode hooked on!
Update: I cracked them open again and let them dry and made sure they were dry with a blowdryer. Applied more silicone this time. Hope that it'll come out better than my first try.

Cold Cathode finally hooked up!!! I had these lying in my trunk for the longest.

I had to drive home like this from my friend's home. Oh, and I painted the cold air piece black too and I installed it back into the car.
