bulb wiring question

i have a bulb, i want it to turn on with the parking lights, but turn off when the hi beam is activated. i have tyc headlights and for some reason, every headlight wire i hook it to makes the light stay on by itself without anything else turned on.

For the headlights + power is supplied to the common terminal of the bulbs and the high and low beam terminals are grounded through the combination light switch.

only off when hi beam is on. i want them to stay on as parking lights when regular low beam is on. see its the bulb in the hi beam housing far left. i dont want it to blow when i use the hi beam cause the bulb is almost touching.

2 relays should do the trick, the first one will break the positive connection of your bulb when the high beam is activated while the second relay will complete the bulb's circuit when your low beam is on. You could do it with only one relay, but like to use factory wiring for signaling only.

85 High Beam Ground
86 +12 volts
30 +12 volts
87 Empty
87a + Bulb

85 Low Beam Ground
86 +12 volts
30 Ground
87 - Bulb
