How Do You Put In New Back Signal Bulbs?

My dad went to Pep boys while I was at work and got me some amber bulbs for my altezzas. I gave him the number and everything for the bulb, but he told me he asked the people and they looked it up in the computer, so I guess it has to be the right one. So how exactly does this new bulb go on? Its just am amber bulb with the 2 silver dots on the filament? I look at the stock bulb which is a lil more squarish of a circle, and it has this plastic silver casing on it which directly connects to the factory wires.. How do I put these things in?

I was at pepboys yesterday and they dont have the computer records on the 2001 civic. they must have gave you the part number for the 2000, which i think is different from ours. i think ours is 3156 and the type I saw over there yesterday were 3157. Ours is single filament(only one wire thing one each side of bulb) and they one they have is double filament (explaning why u see 2 wires on each side). The sales guy said it could burn out or it might last ,and that he wasnt sure what it would do. I bought a pair anyways and tried to put it in ....it didnt fit . so i returned them. Hopefully they will sell the 3156 type soon.

not true!! On the signal bulb , the black casing thing is attached to the bulb and you can not take it off ,unless you want a broken bulb.

MAN! what do I do then? According the police officer that gave me the ticket, my turn signals are illegal, even if I'm using the stock bulbs. Don't like the idea that a cop can pull me over any time he wants.......

wait a sec...what kind of altezza's do u have???? IF you have the new style(with no red reflectors) just take a washable marker and color the factory bulb(dont use a permanent marker cause I think it will burn off) and just wait a while till Pep Boys starts selling the 3156 style or try ebay.
