ground question

i have my positive wire with fuse run to the trunk attached to amp, remote turn on from deck to amp, ground from amp to metal in trunk.. when i connect my negative battery terminal i get a little spark.. i'm guessing my ground i did is no good? its a 2002 civic.. i tried grounding it to the metal that goes across the trunk near the seats just under the trunk carpet..

thanks

its normal to have little sparks when reconnecting it, it just means that there is a few things (example: Headunit memory) using power when car is off, thats why it makes a spark when you reconnect.
