Question People with Hayame's, please reply.

I'm in the market for suspensions right now and I'm about to place an order for the v.2 Hayame Coilover Kit, I've read that some owners here are having issues with them, so I'm thinking twice.
Now, I would like to know about other people with the Hayames, so please, let me know if they worth it or not, and how much Hayame owners like the ride and looks of your civic on them. I have an 2001 EX.
I'm looking for a real good ride quality, and not looking for a big drop, just about 1.5 all around.

The other setup I have in mind is Tokico HP's with Eibach Sportline, heard it gives a great ride quality.

Please, don't reply with "you get what you pay for", only opinions by experience.

Thank you.

Wasn't it enough for you to read tons of feedbacks from Hayame coilover? I mean, the people who will answer this question for you are the same people who have had experience with the Hayame and the same people who posted the reviews and such.

Posting another inquiry like this wont change the opinion of those people who owns them or have owned them.

Or maybe you just wanted to hear what you want to hear? And I know what you wanted to hear so I'll give it to you...

Go get the Hayame, they are great and best bang for the buck. I couldnt be more happier with the Hayame, It feels like I have a $2,000 coilover suspension. I cant say enough how much R&D they have put into this product. The 3 locking perch is just awesome, very secure compared to those system that cost more which only have 2 perches. The tie-rod end that needs to be inserted from the bottom makes the handling so great. If I have the choice to buy another suspension, Id get this any day.

LOL.

Nah, regardless of what everyone says, I'm satisfied with my Hayames so far. Maybe in a year I might want to go lower or have adjustable damper, but as of right now IMO they do rock. I honestly don't know why I've had no problems with them but some others have, it may be a luck thing, so I'm not gonna vouch for Hayame's quality control. My set is great, fits on my car just fine, no wiggle, no funny noises once everything was tightened down well. I don't mean to discredit or contradict what everyone else says, I'm just saying my set is good. So buy them if you can't afford anything else, I guess. For the trouble everyone else is going through you may want to save a little more and buy Teins or B&G's or something.

It all depend, do you want soemthing that give you great improvement on handling with min budget(hayame) or you want soemthing a bit more stiff than stock but still ride great (tokico+any springs)?

Also with hayame you can adj height, great for winter.

What did I tell you BlackFire? The same people who will posted on tons of Hayame reviews are the same peopld who will post on your thread. Maybe you need a constant reassurance that you should get the Hayame.

I say, go get the Hayame...seriously.

518, you are soooo sarcastic, I know you had serious problems with the Hayame's, just wanted to know other stuff, not expecting to hear that they were great FROM YOU, and obviously, I'm doing the homework you missed to do, informing myself before buying. Most of Hayame posts are to complaint about them, but I just wanted to know opinions of other people that may have not posted yet no matter if it's good or not.

Anyways....
-Thanks Telly.

-dacivic, I do want to improve my handling with a great ride and I don't want to lower my car too much, maybe 1.5" or 1.75" max.
If the Hayame's could not give me that, then please recommend me any other setup.

My Hayames have a drop that's almost TOO much for me - I'm pushing the limits of practicality here. But the handling improvement is great. For the price though, Tokicos and H&R/Neuspeed springs might do ya if you don't care about raising it back up for the winter.

"You should edit the title "518 need not post on this thread"

other people that may have not posted yet no matter if it's good or not.
Seriously, name one person, as of now, who replied to this thread but hasnt replied to previous Hayame threads?

My point was, creating another thread like this as opposed to thoroughly reading the previous threads, can be prevented. How much Hayame threads do we need?

Now seriously, get the Hayame. Im not being sarcastic. Get it.

Telly, thanks 4 your suggestion, I live in Puerto Rico, so I don't have too much to worry about in the winter.
Well, it's good to know you have no problems with your Hayame's, but I have to admit that this 518 sarcastic have some reason when he says that previous posts about Hayame's quality should be enough for me to decide not to get them, so I think I'm going with shocks + springs setup since I count with only about 750.00. I can do the install myself, but I think I can't buy too much with $750.00.

awww, cmon man. Im just having fun in this board. peace?

Now, your $750 can go a long way. Just add another $100 and you get yourself a B&G S3 $850 shipped via 2-day FedEx.

B&G for our cars is on back-order until the 2nd of August from the vendor who sells it for $850. You have enough time to cough another $100.

I was going to get the TEIN basic but found the S3 for that price.

Just a suggestion...

umm...
I think I could get those $100.00 extra for the B&G's by august!

Does anybody knows if the B&Gs comes with the strut mounts? Or do we need to use the OEM Strut Mounts?

518, peace, but kiss my @ss first...

Hayame will be too stiff for you. You can't have great handling with great ride. The only cheap one I know is tein SS/D2. B&G is good too but I would get D2 for the same price or save a bit more for tein SS.

I think the ride quality on these things suck. I have raised mine, lower mine, changed the preload and it still sucks, you feel every crack in the road. If you daily drive at all and live anywhere close to NYC get something else. Actually if you wait a week or 2 I will probably be getting something else and selling mine. I know the horseshit that you get what you pay for , but if you feel like blowing 650 bucks then buy the Hayeme. If you only drive on smooth highway like roads then it is OK. Adjustable preload, 3rd locknut, etc... is worthless if you need a chiropractor once you are done driving to the store to pick up some milk.
I say save your money until you can get something proven like tien, or like telly said get the tokicos if you do not care about raising it in the winter, i think that is my next step.

I liked my Hayame V1s more than I liked the V2 when taking the quality issues at hand. The V2s were improved in some areas, yet went down by making rubber spring isolators that tear easy (vs. plastic) and that wiggle issue with the tie rod that some people fixed and some people couldn't. I've went through so much with them, I don't want to deal with them anymore. It's been almost 7 months and for the last, I've been unable to drive my car because Noah from SPW/Hayame told me to drill the tie rod arms. Later he tells someone else that it goes in upside down and never informed me. The situation goes deeper to the point where i was the Hayame-guinea pig. Somehow a nut crossthreaded on the uppermount upon first installation... I dunno, there also seemed to be some lack of knowledge about the product from SPW which I find odd since they claimed they designed it. Although the people there are nice, I didn't appreciate being told a product is ready to ship or will be here at a certain time and it doesn't arrive, or it's arrived yet I'm told the next week it has arrived and then days later you ask me for my address to ship it like it just got there.

Not $850 but for $875, and still cheap.

SlammedBlueEM2 got it from TunerSports.com shipped via 2-day FedEx.

But its back-ordered until the 2nd of August according to TunerSports. When I called B&G in San Diego, they said it will be in their warehouse next week. That gives them ample time to ship to their resellers, if thats how they do it.

I think he's mis-informed. They're sold as cheap as $875 on tunersports.com - not $850, but are currently on backorder til August 2nd.

Sorry for being OT.
